I have a Dell 5150 computer only recently I have noticed a green light inside the tower, it`s located near the back of the unit it seems to be shining through the air vent onto the wall, visible at night even when the computer is turned off, I haven`t noticed this before, does any one know what it is?
Thanks.

hi, im sure its just the power supply unit inside the tower. I t wil stay on until you pull the plug out of the wall.
That is just the ATX power light. If you want to turn it off, there should be a switch on the back of the pc somewhere.
i also have the dell 5150 and i can see a green light too but NOT when my pc is switched off.
If you have switched your computer off at the CPU and not at the mains it could be the modem, this light stays on until you switch off at the mains.

Thanks everybody, I don`t turn off at the mains, I just shut down. Are you suppose to turn it off completely?
Thanks.
