Any ideas how you get the residue off the tiles, bath edge etc of the silicone seal (white or clear)? The main part is easy enough with a blade and scraper but there is always some that won't budge. Many thanks in advance.

Christinemar, white spirit will remove any bits of silicone residue.
B&Q Sell it. Unibond Sealant remover. its comes in a very small mastik styled container and uses the same gun to squirt it out. its pricey though but well worth it, as it saves a lots of time and hand cramp. U need to leave it on for a few hours for best results.
the easiest way is with a silicone remover screwfix sell one and ti works a treat, just brush on leave for an hour and rub off . if you chack their website its 2-39 a bottle plus delivery if you order it .Depending on where you live they now have loads of shops round the country , all listed on their site so saves on delivery.
