Watched this today and didn't realise the chamber of horrors had been closed down for a few years because it was too gruesome or something like that. It's reopened now and you do have a choice of going in there or not.

Whenever I visited I found that exhibit the most interesting. I would feel anxious and nervous and get palpitations when seeing the full horror of what some people endured throughout history.

Do you think they were right to close it? The London Dungeons is still there albeit closed during lockdowns.

I was far more concerned about the closure of the planetarium that was housed within the same building. It was far more interesting and educational when taking youngsters on a trip to London.

Kids love a bit of gory stuff though. I used to include The London Dungeon in the itinerary when arranging school trips to London (which was universally loved by the kids) until Sheffield LEA banned it. The ban wasn't put in place though because of the 'horror' side of it though but because there were representations of black magic included!
No, not right to close it.
People can, surely, make their own decisions whether they want to go or not.
Separate from main waxworks, I think.
We live in a nanny state which is getting worse.
I wonder when that programme was made?
They had just finished and were displaying Little Mix which must have cost an awful lot of money and now I believe they are not a group any more.
George Clooney looked nothing like he looks now.
No wrinkles or facial hair made him look really young.
Hope the Queen wasn't watching.
Don't think she'd be best pleased seeing that man leaning on her shoulder while having his photo taken.
Can't even have chocolates now.
How do you get those jobs deciding what's best for other people?

They mentioned in the programme that it was either open or being prepared to be reopened.

I felt quite queasy when they showed the guillotine that was used on Marie Antionette.

I loved the Planetarium when I went there on a school trip. Such a shame its closed.
