Off to Florida with my ex-husband and our son in March (sounds odd I know but we get on well). Does anyone know the best place to purchase all the usual park tickets before we go? Also, need a reasonably priced car hire. Any help appreciated.

I used www.orlando-ticket-deals.co.uk this year- I had a look round and they seem a good price.

I'll keep an eye on this question, though, see if anyone knows any better place as we're going back in May!
We got ours through who we travelled with ( Travel City Direct) ,we used Dollar for the car hire ,just don't go for the tank of petrol option :o)
Take a look at www.expedia.com for the car rental. Dollar is good but I find that Enterprise and Alamo are usually competitive for off airport agencies. (They pick you up in a bus and transport you to the egency... usually quite close. Additionally, as you probably know, one of the major additional costs is additional insurance. It can run to half of the rental fee per day. Check with your personal car insurance agency to see if they will cover you on your policy. We do that here in the U.S. and it saves a lot of money. As already advised... don't take the gas deal... fill it up on your own. By the way, gas prices are falling dramatically. It's down in my neck of the woods to just over $2.00 per gallon from nearly $3.00 just a few weeks ago... Welcome to the U.S.!
I used www.undercovertourist.com for my park tickets. Seemed pretty cheap.
I can locate Florida on a map but that's about it - I just wanted to say how uplifting I found learning that your son has the rare privelege of having divorced parents who don't cause him agony most of the time. Well done.

Thanks for all your advice, I'll have a trawl round and see what I can find.
KARL - appreciate your comments. We always spend Christmas/birthdays together and other family occasions and try to have days out together. Not been on a holiday together since the divorce but we reckon it will be fun to share the excitement on our little fella's face.
As the dollar exchange rate is good at the moment if you had a bit 'extra' floating around you can change sterling to dollars ( cash or travellers cq s.) while the going is on your side, this can make a good holiday a great holiday.

We have used Alamo for ages and when there have been issues they have come and collected the car within the hour and delivered a new one, competitive rates.

Bought tickets at our resort twice ( different places ) and more competitve than other offers - don't be shy drop your resort an e-mail to find out if they stock them too!
