My partner and I have decided to do without the stress of cooking Christmas lunch and have decided to get an Indian take-away on Christmas Eve and reheat it on 25 December, followed by posh ice cream.Yum!

True...
That's fabulous Mozz x
Mamya. The one advantage of living alone. I don't have to pay lip service to Christmas to keep others happy. I like the work the Salvation Army do, and my lack of religious belief doesn't worry them in the slightest, all help is gladly recieved.
Probably beans on toast again - I like to splash out at least once a year!
Spoil yourself Dave. Have hoops this year ;-)
Thats all well and dandy for rice you've cooked yourself and know its fresh. The rice from a take-away could have been sitting for hours.
APG, I do agree with that. I do only tend to do this with rice I have cooked myself.

If I were the OP, I would order all but the rice and then cook that myself when needed.
When we order Indian we never order the rice. I always cook it fresh while OH is fetching the food, which is a 20 mile round journey, so we don't do it that often.
