Is It Okay To Put Kingspan Insulation Behind An Electrical Socket?

We have a small porch with a dwarf wall. The cavity had no insulation inside it. I have been cutting Kingspan board and slipping it into the cavity. All going well, but I have fitted a piece into the cavity behind an electrical socket (professionally installed), and now I'm wondering if that is safe. Should I have left a gap there?

Absolutely fine. Not a good idea to break the continuity in the insulation.

Sockets don't get that warm. :o)

If you're only insulating a dwarf wall, there will be very little improvement in the overall porch insulation; if you were to omit a small bit behind the socket it wouldn't really matter much, so if there's any doubt you could just not do that bit. Are you going to insulate the porch roof?
