Charging MP3 players

My existing MP3 player charges via USB or the mains (Creative). I am considering buying a new one, but note an awful lot charge only via USB. Does anybody know if charging through a Powered USB Hub would be the same as charging via a PC USB Port ? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes a powered hub will do the trick, you can also get a gizmo that plugs into a standard three pin wall socket that has a USB port on it that will charge it as well as ones that plug into a car's cigarette lighter.
