The leporine one always comes up with good puzzles and this didn't disappoint. I found this tricky, not least that it took me a fair while to see how the jumbles could be entered. There are variant spellings online of at least one word in the quatrain but since we're given the letters, that doesn't matter. Nice clues too - I like the moving letter device and some of the moves were well hidden. Thank you, Little Hare!

A cracker of a puzzle that keeps the solver working until the very end. My last thematic clue was solved after I'd completed the endgame. I agree that some of the letters to be moved are hard to detect, giving rise to lots of PDMs when the truth emerged. More than once I made a wrong choice, corrected only when I found the quatrain, one I've never encountered before.
And a delightful theme.
Agree with the above. Some deliciously disguised latter moves - I think I'd go crazy trying to set so many of those, but you've done a great job - thanks, Little Hare!

My only complaint is that this was scheduled so soon after 4683, which required a very similar approach (solving across jumbles).
Another quality puzzle which kept me wanting to go back to it. Interesting theme too, which I was completely unaware of (nothing new there ...).

Thanks, Little Hare.
A most enjoyable puzzle - so much thematic material hidden in plain sight.

Thanks, Little Hare.
A wonderful puzzle. Really interesting and challenging grid fill with a superb ending. A difficult clue gimmick to pull off too, but done so masterfully.

Thanks very much, Little Hare.
That was quite hard - whether my mind didn't quite mesh with Little Hare's, or I was just off form for some reason, it took a lot longer than I expected after the first few clues slotted into place.

An excellent puzzle and well worth what turned into a somewhat lengthy process to get the grid filled.

Once there, the final step was a smile-making joy - so much thematic material to see slotting into place.

Thanks Little Hare - good stuff.
Still slogging my way through this puzzle -I have solved all but 1 of the clues, identified the quatrain, and I reckon I know what should appear in one of the columns which helps somewhat in reordering the rows. HOWEVER noting the following line is not inspiring me, I have no idea what the theme is, what the thematic items are or in what way they are restored. Nor is the title helping. AGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Hi Dim16,

Giving direct help is frowned upon in this forum, so I'll just say that it took me a little bit of a grid search before I spotted some of the 11 thematic items. Have a break, and take a look with fresh eyes tomorrow - I find that often does the trick.
Just realised what the thematic items are....
Solved it! Lovely puzzle.
Hi HawkCrossword

Thanks for the encouragement.

Inspiration did finally strike.
