Gness, thank you for asking after me and my partner . We are both keeping safe and well. ( I didn't want to hijack Lankeela's thread ) . I have various health conditions and as so many others, I have found lock-down restrictive and depressing. We also live in a tiny 1st floor flat, space is a premium, even space for a jigsaw puzzle is limited. Then ...I would listen to the news night after night and hear about the loss of life . People going about their jobs often with inadequate protection , nurses, bus drivers, too many to mention. Hearing all of this was very humbling and I would then thank my lucky stars I am here and get on with it ! As you know I pop on A/B now and then and keep my eye on things ! I was so thrilled when you and Dave married. May happiness and health be yours for many years to come

Hi, Islander. Lovely to hear from you. I didn't know you had health conditions. That made it so much worse for so many people like you but I'm glad you're both well and safe.

I think many found lockdown restrictive and very depressing. I can't imagine how it must have been for those living alone though. At least I had Dave to amuse me with his humour and to open the wine.
We were lucky here in having a great postie who called on the many remote homes even if they didn't have mail and he'd let the rest of us know if anyone needed help.
Like you, it was hearing about loss of life and long term effects of the virus that made us be thankful even when feeling a bit down.
Thank you for your good wishes. Despite Covid it was a fantastic wedding. As villagers found out we received flowers, wine and congratulations.
Take care, Islander, be well and do keep in touch...x
And best wishes from me too

Hello Islander. Hope you are well. I was actually talking to someone I vaguely know yesterday about the fact they live in a flat, and they said that if it wasn’t for the fact it’s a ground floor one, and they can at least open the windows, front door etc to sit outside on the grass under their window, then she just wouldn’t cope. Don’t think I would either tbh.
Indeed, Smow. We had much stricter rules here in Ireland. The thought of being in a flat with children as many were didn't bear thinking about.
