For deliveries from the US, is Hermes responsible from the US or just from when the parcel arrives in the UK?

If you've been told that something coming from the USA will be delivered by Hermes, I can't see how it could end up in their UK delivery system unless it started out with Hermes (or a partner company) in the USA.

So I assume that they're responsible all the way. However their contract is with the sender of the parcel, not with the recipient, so any liability for loss they might have relates only to that sender. (i.e. if a parcel being sent to you goes missing, you can't claim against Hermes; only the sender can do that. Your claim would be against the seller).
