I'm looking for the name of a song.
Basically, it sounds like a samba, but it was played as dance music in clubs a few years ago ( in 1998 or 1999 )
The intro of the song is a kind of dialog:
A drum plays a rythm, then many drums answer by playing exactly the same rythm,
then they do the same with another rythm...
This lasts about a minute, then the song basically sounds like a samba, with mostly percussion playing, and a whistle.
Thanks....

That sounds most likely to be "Give It Up" by the Goodmen.

Doesn't it say something like 'samba dijanay' or something i think i know what you mean but unsure of what it is called exactly. Never heard of that one though lookslikemilk but then i dont know every song do i.

If it is the one i am thinking of it is abit older then 98 or 99 maybe 96

I don't think there was any words in the song.
And no, it's not "Samba de Janeiro".

It sounds like Simply Red - Fairground, and they sampled the drums from an outfit called Goodmen I believe, though don't know the title. Could be one of those.

Might be Safri Duo - Played Alive (The Bongo Song). Sounds like a croud at the beginning, then the drums start and turn into a dance track

Say party by shut up and dance
