A one I’ll treasure Emmie
you will i am sure.
Sounds fab, Bobbi. Hope you have a great time. I want to take Mrs Clarion to London soon just so I can take her to a lovely restaurant on Whitehall called Cafe Concerto. A lovely place. I've had a few breakfasts there when I've been for Remembrance Sunday.

Boaty I love the popular classics such as the William Tell overture, the 1812 , Bolero etc and often play them at home but to actually be part of the atmosphere is going to be so memorable

We took my Mum to the RAH to see the 1000 Voice Welsh Choir many years ago and the atmosphere was incredible. I hope this post works it's from 2019. I didn't realise they still did these concerts I'll have to look into it. I hope you have a wonderful time Bobbisox

Ah Margo many thanks, I’m deliriously happy about going , I’ll have a listen to your clip now
Sanmac, if you’re still reading this thread, on a journey back to Toronto from Timmins we stopped at a place on the shores of Lake Ontario where there were ships moored but I can’t remember what it was called. Is that likely to be where you went to the open air concert?
Question Author
Is that Men of Harlech ?
It’s fabulous , gives me goose bumps
It's the Welsh National Anthem (Land ofmy Fathers) Bobbi. It always makes me think of my Mum and shed a little tear
Question Author
I love Welsh Male Voice choirs Margo, sorry for getting it wrong btw, your Mum must have been a very proud welsh lady ?
No problem Bobbi. Yes she was from a tiny village in South Wales called Pontycymer and her father was the leading tenor soloist in the Royal Welsh Male Voice Choir, a really big deal in those days. That's why we wanted to take her to that concert, which we all throughly enjoyed
Question Author
Beautiful memories for you to keep Margo
Yes indeed :-)
I'm a bit late to this party, but I'm delighted to hear your update Bobbi; especially good to know you've been able to upgrade to the stalls. Something to look forward to for sure.
