Answer is or contains a colour

I think I just have this question left that I am totally unsure about, can anyone help? I am typing it just as it appears on the quiz sheet in case that makes a difference - capital letter included:-

Between red and Blue (6)

I thought of Purple and then thought of Violet as well.
Then I thought on the wording of the question and wondered whether it meant a colour between red and blue in the colour spectrum. If it does then that can only be Yellow or Orange as being the only colours with the correct number of letters (the other colour being Green).

Am I reading too much into this question or what??!!

Probably off track completely here, but just a thought. How about : red white and blue as in the flag?

I was confused too - for now I have gone for yellow as they are the 3 primary colours but dont like it so hope someone has other suggestions

I don't know if this is the answer but if you mix red and blue you get purple.
