Why must a daily contact lens be disgarded after use?

I'm really interested to know why a daily contact lens must be disgarded after use... it seems to me that they're just like a normal lens.

Daily contact lenses are designed in such a manner that you can start with a fresh pair every day. They are single-use contacts that you throw away after using for a day. Daily contacts are different from disposable contacts, which can be used for more than one day before disposal.
