mixing two songs

is there any software available where i can erase the lyrics from one song and insert another. it involves the songs donald wheres your trousers and led zeps the immigrant song. first verse of each runs the same. same spacing, timing etc and i want to try mixing them just to get it out of ma head. thanx

I don't think you'll be able to delete the lyrics as there's only 2 channels with Stereo and each contains a mixture of vocals, drums etc. etc. You can't isolate just the vocals from that.

You can play one on top of the other using "Audacity" which is free to download.

it is possible to remove vocals in software. If you google for "remove vocals", you will find guides and software.

stevie21, it is possible to isolate some of the tracks, depending on how they are mixed in stereo. The vocals, for example, are usually perfectly centered, so you can eliminate them by just substracting the 2 channels. It's not perfect, and it eliminates other things, but it usually works.
