Decided to get some stuff to give my lovely handbag a treatment. (Radley bag, gift from my 2 sons)
Just opened it and had a sniff. I swear it was like smelling the marzipan you put on a xmas cake.
Lord Sheraton leather balsam, wonder what's in it to make it smell that way?

Almond oil probably, ferlew. Almonds are one of the main ingrediants in marzipan.
The smell of almonds is associated with cyanide - hope you make it to Christmas... (joke)
From an Amazon review:
"SMELL - If you hate the smell of Amaretti biscuits (Almond) then you may not like using this. It states use in a well-ventilated room for good reason. Its extremely potent in Almond smell, at times over bearing as I only had two windows to open and little breeze coming in. After I had done the sofas I needed to go outside for some fresh air. So ventilation is important!"

Be careful you don't go anywhere near sniffer dogs when you're out and about with your 'marzipan' bag, ferlew. Semtex has a marzipan smell :-(
Lovely idea - Put semtex on the cake and the party would go with a bang!
If it's Christmas already, is it now too late to put the sprouts on?
Not for Christmas 2022.
Good thinking, Douglas!
