What is the bus system like in New York city? How do you pay? Do they run into the evenings? Thanks

a bus ride costs the same as a subway ride, ie 2 Dollars.

and do go for the one-day or seven-day passes if you plan to move around, they should save you money.

best thing is the passes for the bus and the tube you can buy them before you go saves a lot of hassle
