I asked for this category in 2004 and you sat here and ignored it! I’m running palaeography classes now so bring out your dead dinosaurs and I’ll teach you how to transcribe them.
Palaeography sounds really interesting. I've made a stab at my family tree on Ancestry but haven't got back to dinosaur days yet! Maybe you could just give us a short article on palaeography. Your advice on anything connected to genealogy was always well received. How did the Jasper Conran boots hold up? Just a memory now I expect.
Carrot they are still here somewhere in their box! I could actually start a course as it is easy enough. I remember writing the articles for here but can’t see where they are now and of course they will be woefully out of date as we’ve got so much digitally available now.
Bloomin' 'eck fossil boots! You need to put a brief history of your time in them for when they are dug up one day.
I'd be interested to read any article you put on here regarding palaeography or genealogy and I'm sure others would too.
I did the Ancestry DNA thing - I'm 4% Norwegian, fascinating! My ancestors were agricultural labourers in Leicestershire so Danelaw stuff I expect, viking raiders and all that.
Anyway nice to know the boots have been preserved for posterity.
