No disrespect to all NHS workers, but over the past year my saviour has been "white van man", (and occasionally lady). They have delivered parcels large and small, within allocated time given, and been polite and helpful. If it has been a large or awkward parcel they have placed it inside the door to make it easier for me. Thank you all white van drivers.
As a POI is it an unwritten convention that delivery vans are white, whatever logo they have on the side?

Well I never knew that!
White Van Man story. Last summer a white van driver arrived at our house with a tick in his tummy. He was in a panic. I removed all of the tick with my trusty tweezers and magnifying glass.

Some weeks later we were driving across the narrow village bridge. A white van driver coming down the road the other way decided to drive onto the bridge and force us backwards. Being bigger than us he probably thought it was fun. We obliged.
It was tummy tick man.
When he recognised us he was so full of apologies.

He still delivers and is so nice...but I may just leave any more ticks in his tummy... :-)

On the whole our delivery drivers have been fantastic...nice post, Calda.x
Can't get my head round why some get so excited around the white van man delivering goods to your home? To put things into perspective, they turn up for work, like millions of other people, do their job, get paid for doing so, end of story really. Their doing it to earn a living, not to become a hero. :0) over and out.
NHS workers aren't doing it to be heroes either, or care workers, the plumbers and leccy's who go into people's homes to do essential repairs, the posties, the grocery delivery folk, the paper delivery people, many of them kids, the white van men and ladies as well as the NHS and the police and fire services. They didn't go into their jobs to be heroes but blessings on all of them.
There are some very nice colours used by some companies

Royal Mail has a very nice red colour ,
Their delivery operatives are polite and helpful as well .

By the way , white is a shade , not a colour
Woof, they all do it to earn money, no other reason, I had a paper round when I was kid, for one reason only, and it wasn't to please other people. Most plumbers and leccys I've come across in the last 70 years, will take you for every penny they can get away with. Back to the van delivery driver, they are complete lunatics on the road, and for some reason a door bell confuses them.

Have you booked your vaccination yet ?
Had it last Monday. Thanks AZ
Crikey that's surprising , given your reticence about having it ?
Well nearly didn't bother replying to you. But its simple really, at the time, AZ were more open on giving data on there vaccine, Pfizer not. So booked my appointment, got there, and before they started asking me the basic questions, I said before I waste your time what vaccine will you be giving me, they replied AZ. AZ were more open on the delayed second dose. If they try and give me a different one on the 3rd of May I shall refuse it, but thats just me, what others do is up to them.
Thanks for replying

I was just curious , no judgement intended
No problem. I may be completely wrong, but the Pfizer one in my mind takes to much looking after by middle men, and again when being thawed out and used in a short time frame. Just the way I see it.
Sitting up here in the sunshine in Dundee enjoying a wee cup of coffee and a cheese and bacon turnover in my white van I'd like to compliment the packers of the parcel for on T Cake

Been jumping on it for five minutes and no damage evident yet. X
Did wonder what the delay was on my Semtex order.
I take it you all know about the hidden spoon and arrow in the FedEx logo.
