1. Sandy Powell .... an English comedian best known for his radio work of the 1930s and for his catchphrase Can You Hear Me, Mother?

2.Was Mrs Mopp the cleaner in ITMA ..but I don't know who played Mrs Mopp offhand ...or do you just want the character?
These phrases all stem from wartime radiuo and music hall acts:

1. "Can you 'ear me mother" was Sandy Powell's catch phrase. Sandy was a music hall star and entertained the troops in WW2.

2. The day war broke out my missus said to me .. was the beginning of Rob Wilton's stories and monologues.

3. "Can I do you now, Sir?" is a famous catchphrase, from ITMA (Its That Man Again). It was said by Mrs Mopp (Dorothy Summers), the hoarse-voiced charlady or "corporation cleanser", when entering the office of Tommy Handley (who was the star of the show).
"The day war broke out my missus said to me .." was the beginning of Rob Wilton's stories and monologues.
