i've apllied to switch energy companies after looking at uswitch and other similar websites.they all come up with the same company-ebico being the cheapest one for me to switch to but i've never heard of them.does anyone or has anyone used them?are they any good? they are supposed to be alot cheaper because they are a non profit energy company (sounds too good to be true)and apparently we'll save about 250 a year by switching to them for our gas and electric.

I see there has been a slow reply to your question, but I will certainly check it out for myself. Thanks for the tip.
Ebico are OK - also go under the name of Equipower and Equigas. The switch sites do not provide direct links to them because Ebico don't pay them commission, which they get from all other suppliers that they link to !
The irony of this is that Ebico leccy and gas is supplied by Scottish and Southern, but is cheaper through Ebico than if you go direct to Scottish and Southern !
We use and have had no problems - it all comes through the same pipes and wires ! do a websearch to find them.

i know ebico sent me an email acknowledging my application to transfer to them in which they stated they are linked to southern electric. i'm actually with southern electric now but figured ebico must have much cheaper tariffs.reassuring to know that you use them without any problems wheelnut. have they worked out much cheaper than your previous supplier/s?
I switched from British Gas and SWEB (south west) to Ebico as it showed the best saving at the time. All areas may not be the same, and I see that Ebico are increasing prices on 1st September so hard to be sure who offers best deal at any given time. Good luck !
