If you mean sudden extreme onset, rest and medication from the doc as its probably an infection which will pass. If you mean really awful, or you have residual symptoms after treatment,there are exercises that can increase your tolerance for movement called Cooksey Cawthorne exercises. Your GP may never have heard of them, you will find loads on them if you Google, but they really shoud be undertaken under the supervision of someone who knows what they are doing, who will probably be a physiotherapist. Good luck, its a nasty affliction.
My mum has that. If you search it on google or something there comes up these positions to do and it cures it swiftly. sorry its not detailed though
My experience is doctors are very confused about the reasons for vertigo if not obvious, and call it a virus. But the stemetil they should provide sorted it out very well for me.
