Penguins (although the clue indicates a singular bird) - 'p(iano; soft)' + anag 'ingenus'
On the other thread the clue said "ingenu's" so maybe the answer is "penguin's" (penguin is).
Alphapuzzle setting is a bit looser than most crosswords though- eg often they lack an anagram indicator

Yes - "...ingenu'(i)s confused..." gives the solitary bird. All alone. Pining for the fjords. Or something. ;-)
surely it's (p)enguin where p is 24, e is 2, 18 is n (we a already know) g is 7, u is 17, i is 15 and q must be 1
Sorry if I misdirected anyone by not explaining it properly. It is a solitary penguin. I should have made it clear the clue said " ingenu's "(ingenu is) so adding the p to the anagram gives penguin
