I've had gallstones and so have my mum, dad, sister and several aunties. My doctor said it isn't hereditary, although families tend to have similar lifestyles and this can affect it e.g. we all use salt and eat to much fat.
I am the only one of a family of nine, that has had to have their gall bladder removed. three of us are overweight, me being one of them. My consultant at the time said good indications are Fat , Fair & Forty. I got 2 out of 3!! i'm brunette.
