// Personally, left my body to a university medical research unit (if they accept it)//

Well one good thing nailit -it will not need pickling lol!
APG,
please dont interrupt me while I am ignoring you!
My MIL wrote her own funeral, everything to which hymns and bible readings she wanted. It just left Mr U to brief the Minister, church choir and say a few words of his own. If only everybody did that it would be so easy.
Thinking of you Lynne xxx
I'm not so sure about that ubasses. My grandmother has sorted hers out and it's dire. When mum and I were discussing it (she's recently expressed a wish to join my grandfather) we both said it sounded hideous. So I said we could change it. After all she's not going to be there to complain!
BM, who cares what its like if its what she wants?
Maybe we were lucky BM, it was simple and easy. She was very much part of her church community, meaning the choir would have been there as mourners so no problem getting them to participate.
As a bonus the Minister did not charge us and the Ladies club did the Wake and we only had to pay the actual cost of the food.
We won't disrespect her wishes, Woofgang. But I shall be talking to her. Trouble is, she goes down the path of least resistance of not wanting to be any trouble. She said she didn't want a eulogy at grandad's funeral but when tasked by all her grandchildren, I telephoned her and asked if one of us could say something, she burst into tears and said "yes". And then it came out that she was thinking of everyone else and not putting anyone under pressure. She's a very dear, sweet lady.
oh bless her BM!
