To go back to the original question sure it was "Rooms". It used to be on every lunchtime for 30 minutes and was deadly depressing. It was repeated recently. Saw it in the listings - think it was on Drama.
This just in: woman ages.
Question Author
No, not a comedy, it was on around the time of Crown Court , and at 2 in the afternoon,I'm sure their was a single mother called Mary in it that was punk,'Rooms' seems to stick in my mind for some reason
Question Author
That'll be the one Kustard, yeah, very depressing , one bar electric fires and stuff
So tonyav got it right in the first answer. Well done, tony
Question Author
Yes, then I went to bed Barry :0)
Wasn't there a punk mother in EastEnders called Mary?
Question Author
Yes ILM, I may be getting the two ( names) mixed up but I distinctly remember this punk girl in a dingy room, might be one of the same :0)
Maybe she started off in Rooms before moving to EE eh Bobbi?
Question Author
You know you could be right ILM,
I think I'd better omit it from my Zoom quiz , haha
Sorry Bobbi, one day later (only go on the computer first thing in the morning) Mary WAS in Eastenders at the beginning, exactly as you described. She was Lofty's girlfriend I think. Back to Rooms - there were different people in the rooms every day, most of them scrabbling about for a shilling to put in the gas!!!!
Check the link in the very first answer to the thread Steve.
