before downloading them onto a memory stick?
the music is my own (purchased) and is in Amazon Library, my brother is changing his car and asked me to download him some music as the car has a USB port, not CD

You need to unzip the files and then move the songs to a memory stick in order to work.

Unless they’re already ALSO in an unzipped form, in which case then just grab those and drag them to the stick...
