I've tried to delete a program which seems to be making my pc very slow - it was a piece of software that came with my camera. I was unable to uninstall it properly, it won't let me reinstall it to fix any problem so I can then uninstall it, and it now won't let me delete some of the files from the program from Program Files. Even with just some files left it seems to be slowing everything down. Please help!

can you not go into control panel then add/remove programs
Have you tried going back to before the rogue program was installed using system restore? If it's been a while since the install then this may not work. The only sure way to rid your pc of unwanted files (and clutter) is to do regular backups. Then if you encounter a problem like this you can go back in time to before the install.
Windows sometimes blocks you from deleting certain files as they are in use by Windows itself. Another way is to make a note of the files you want to delete, then reboot the pc in safe mode and try to delete them from there.
I use a free program called eraser which overwrites data on your pc with random numbers-if you get this and try and erase any bits left . There is an option when you right click on a file to erase it. Also try this in safe mode-press f8 on startup.
You can try using LongPathTool software. It will help you resolve your specific problems regarding File name too long. Thank you.
