I don't so I don't :)
Yes I find it quite therapeutic, you are getting ready for a new look.
A steam stripper and a good quality scraper has the job done in no time.
Not ideal in high summer mind. :-)
Bobbi do you have a steam stripper?

I just hate the mess
I absolutely hate it, Bobbi. So much so that I always advise customers to strip walls themselves. One cannot foretell just how easy/difficult it is to strip walls so pricing them is pointless. Those customers who can't or won't strip their own, end up paying me an hourly rate for doing so - which is fine if it just comes away. But if it stubbornly refuses to budge, it can take a full shift to do one room. Then I get someone in to do it for much less while I get on with actually decorating.

My son in law might have an industrial one , that’s his trade

Haha, Ken, I must be a P&D thing, he asked us to do it
That's good then Bobbi or otherwise you can hire one.
It is, Bobbi, it is:-) Yet to meet anyone in the trade who actually enjoys doing it. Most of us prefer the satisfaction the 'end result' provides us with. Not the spadework that goes into the prepping.
