I'm having a party for my 18th. I'm want to have a theme to it only i cant really think of one. I've already bought a dress which is green silk with lace over it. I dont think all the girls would be too keen on all wearing dresses, and it has to be suitable for guys too.

Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks

What about a formal party but with masquerade masks
Similar to these http://www.novelties-direct.co.uk/home.php?cat =817 that way you can dress up in formal/going out clothes such as dresses and things and have a theme thats not too much work for your quests. You could also have the masks that you dont have to hold up and make some sort of game out of not knowing who everyone is - Just a thought. Was going to do something similar for my next party.
Think a little like the modern Romeo & Juliet film leonardo wears a mask at the party, stylish, fun, not too hard to pull off and people who dont want to make too much effort dont have too - cause you always get a couple who couldnt really be bothered lol. Have fun by the way.
James Bond is a good theme because people can either stick to suits and dresses or go completely over the top. One guy at a JB theme party that I went to dressed as Shirley Bassey others wore tuxedos or suits.
Cant beat a 'grease' party,i quite fancy one of them!
Get them to come as their favourite music person, I was going to say pop star but that shows my age. Say from the sixties upwards. They have to behave like that person all night. That way jeans etc wont look out of place.
