If they worked the NHS would not be spending money developing drugs to combat obesity and you would not see any fat people anywhere. Nobody would get their stomachs stapled to help them lose weight. They'd just take a tablet.

Of course they don't work. I bet the packet advises you to eat a balanced diet and exercise more too. That bit works.

Sorry to be so blunt.
the only ones that works are anhitamines , the are somwhat illagel , but some "medical weight loss centers " do sell them , they are not cheap .
They do also make you very ill , is in you cannot sleep for days on end , change your sitting room furnishings 3 times in one day and wash all windows in your house . they are closly related to speed , and after a few days you will I asure you start seeing things .
not a good way to go about loseing s few pounds .

The ones you seen in Tescos and Asda and everywhere else are just aids to a controls diet.
mind over matter really .
Blyss have you taken these crazy pills that make you go loony?
Sorry - I think they are a wate of time. My best advise - Slimming World - you can eat lots and loose lots safely - good luck!!
You could try the Chinese Food Diet, where you get to eat all you want.

But you're only allowed one chopstick!

ha ha yea one chop stick diet that would be a good way to starve myself to death LOL!!!
Fairy girl - great name - Try the low GL diet - lots of slow release carbs - porridge oats/brown rice/pasta/bread - eaten with good protein eg chicken or fish. Cut out the sugar and refined carbs. Cut down on dairy and use soya where possible. Cut out coffee/tea/alcohol. Drink 6-8 glasses water per day. Up the wholegrains/seeds and nuts. Tons of fruit and veg (not bananas or potatoes). You can have 3 meals and 2 fruit snacks in between. This really works. I have adopted this way of eating since training to be a nutrional therapist because I wanted to see if it works, and it does. I lost a stone and changed shape completely. My husband has lost 2 stone in a few weeks. I feel great, have great skin and hair and nails too. Good luck Amara xx
If your diabetic I would ask the Doc for a eating plan for you, stay away from slimming world, I ended up with a protein ball in my bowel, not good, not good at all.
Julie that sounds very painful? Diets are bad, healthy eating plans where you can eat protein/carbs/fibre/fruit/veg/water - but leave out the bad stuff are definitely the way to go. If you want to slim down and feel great and benefit from optimum health stay away from anything that tries to cheat the body into losing weight. x
The slimming pills you get from supermarkets ect... are herbal diuretics, I don't think anything else is allowed to be sold off the shelf. They work by getting rid of any excess water in your body. I found they worked for me but only because I retain a lot of fluid, and I bought them for this reason as other tablets had made me ill, the herbal ones should be harmless they are just plant extracts (just check if your on other medication as diuretics can interfere with them).
