I don't know much about reggae but Bob Marley has never really floated my boat. However, there are a few tracks on an Ian Brown compilation ('Love is The Answer' by Garnet Silk and 'No no no' by Dawn Penn, for example) that I really like.

Can anyone recommend any really good songs that might get me into reggae?

Try:
Prince Buster
The Pioneers
Laurel Aitken
Aswad
UB40
'silly games' by Janet Kay, 'Return of Django' by The Upsetters.. well, lots of stuff by the Upsetters... and in general pretty much anything by King Tubby, Lee Scratch Perry, John Holt, Jimmy Cliff, Peter Tosh, The Aggrovators, Augustus Pablo, Horace Andy, The Pioneers, Burning Spear....

There are some great compilation sets of Trojan Records - many different artists and styles of reggae/dub/etc, they're pretty good starting points if you're not sure....

good luck and enjoy!
The Trojan ones as mentioned are superb, but the dogs doodah of Reggae compilations (IMHO) is called "tougher than tough - story of Jamaican music - it's a 4 CD set and starts and ends with "Oh carolina" , its quite hard to get hold of though and quite pricey - few samples here
