If you haven't met her yet, go for a holiday first to see if you get on. You can't tell from talking on the phone & computer. Don't rush into anything, you may regret it. You are intelligent and young enough, so take your time.

I don't feel 60 (may look it) . I always think whatever happens to you you have to put on a smile and get on with things. This isn't getting you anywhere with your question but I do hope you get sorted and get to Australia if thats where you want to be. Good Luck. Let us know how you get on.
Sorry to interrupt man, you know, I wish you luck and all, but seriously, you must go to Australia and spend some time with her before you decide that she is the one. Look, it sounds perfect over the phone and internet, im just saying that you need to know this person....in person!

nah ure alrite thanx for the input i will take ure advice on board
yes it is best for you to go and see her and the area you plan to live, i am in the process of arranging a fiancee visa myself so only know how to get someome into Uk, but i am sure it will not be much different. While you are there you need to collect proof that you where together and also anyproof that you communicating afterwards. whatever you do do not be tempted to overstay your visit, there will be a website somewhere about Australian fiance/e visas usually the quickest way, you have to prove that this is not a marriage just for visa into country.
