Why don't they play the original theme tune for Starsky & Hutch on Bravo?

Is it something to do with licensing or copyright ...

I was looking forward to watchig it, but lost interest during the theme tune & turned it off.

starskey and hutch used to have 2 themes altho one was used far more often than the other.
classic tv !!!!
There were four themes (well, 3 and a 'remix') used throughout the 4 seasons of S&H.

The pilot ep. and Season 1 used a tune by Lalo Shifrin.

Season 2 had the tune everyone knows and loves; Tom Scott's "Gotcha".

Season 3 had a pathetic synthesizer tune.

Season 4 used a 'funkier' version of "Gotcha" that wasn't as good as the original.
You can listen to (or watch) the opening titles for Seasons 1 and 4 in RealMedia format here.
