It would help to know what type of document you want to create. If it is simply text then Word may be the best. If there is data such as columns of figures and totals then Excel would be best.

I have given up. I do not think my computer has facility to transfer document to disc
ideally you'd just click and drag. Call up the folder in which you keep the document, fall up My Computer when it's got a disc in (assuming it takes discs) and just drag it from one to the other. It'll probably make a copy and leave the original wehre it is,
Insert the disc that you want to save the spreadsheet to.
In the spreadsheet click File > Save As.
A dialog box will open showing the folders available on your computer.
The disc will be there as a separate folder.
Select the folder and give the spreadsheet a name.
Click Save and it will be copied to the disc.
When you say it won't copy to a disk I assume you mean a CD drive (unless it's really old computer and you mean those A drive square floppy disks). If it's a laptop you should have a slot to put a pendrive in. Or just save the file and email it to someone who can transfer it to disc
