i would like to know what would happen if you key in star hash 0000 hash (without spaces) on my nokia 6230i as ive been told to key that in to see if its compatible with my car stereo system. and also what would show when you press that. is this true thanks

I tried it on my Nokia 7200 and the following appeared on screen:
v 4.24
15-06-04
RH-23
7200
(c) Nokia
Presumably it's the version number which would give a clue to compatibility with your car stereo.
