I also need help with 24ac and 28ac.

8a ...gave what is necessary ...fed ...reverse it
24a 3 letter synonym for tug + n(navy) + 4 letter word that's inside backwards reversed.....gives an 8 letter word ...then remove NW
28a RE (king Edward) + last anagrammed + ER (King Ed)..then remove the 1st letter
