I have a fuchsia which has kept it leaves all over the winter. When or should I prune it and how much shuld I prune?

I got a large fushia which I haven't touched for years and it still flowers happily. However, if you want to keep it neat and tidy it is generally recommended that you cut back to a low permanent subframe, ie back to the established hard wood, or all flowered stems close to the base in spring when the buds begin to swell.
