I started watching this and, as all the episodes are online, watched the second episode but when the third starts there seems to be a big gap only partially explained in the preamble for series 3. Does anyone else agree with this or have they made an error.

I've only watched the first two. I'll get back to you!
I've watched episode 3 and there is no gap. Its just an incredulous storyline where they seem to think 7 days of life without electricity will turn people feral and make them tie people to lampposts and kill them. The whole storyline is ridiculous and badly researched but I won't give spoilers but OH and I agreed why would they have a 'relief centre' in a hospital carpark? People are having to sleep in tents on concrete? Their homes have not been destroyed so why not just stay at home in your own bed? If this situation did happen, where most utilities were down, they would surely be able to set up water and food stations in local community centres. Will not be watching anymore as it can only get worse in my opinion.
Yes - there is a huge howler in the ordering of the episodes on the Sky 'on demand' function - what is listed as episode 3 is actually episode 6! The numbering of the others is therefore all wrong too.

If you have a SKY Q box then the UHD downloads are correctly ordered.
wow sunnydave that is a howler. I've checked and the episode 3 I've watched is in fact the correct episode 3. I have Sky Q though.
I binge watched the whole 6 episodes last night - agree that some of the basic premises were a bit flimsy.

The concept of a country where 90% is working almost normally, but the other 10% is in chaos is an interesting one and was worthy of a rather better exposition than it got here.
Yes I've seen it too. Didnt spot any errors. But like APG I was wondering why people were sleeping in tents. There was no suggestion their homes were destroyed so I am perplexed about that.

I have Q but still found many loose ends between 2 & 3 - dont even get me started on the technical errors.
Errors in location, I don't think they got as far as Northumbria to be honest.

Solar flares have a similar effect to an EMP so, if you have warning - as they did - you tell everyone to turn off all electricals even removing batteries etc until the wave has passed. As you probably noticed cars still working and some systems although they could have been shielded. In the prison the default if power goes out is all doors locked so the mass escape was questionable. Why would you need to leave your home after just a few days for a camp, we all have some fluids and many old houses still have tanks in the roof and so on and so on
The more I think about it, the more I think it was lazy sensationalist writing and all they were interested in was how many times Robert Carlyle got to say "f***" or variations on a theme of. (Although I do think he was very good in it).
CraptCritics thanks for that, makes you wonder why these things aren't researched, I know its fiction but was supposed to be realism. Northumbria Uni is in the middle of Newcastle , which is in the county of Tyne & Wear, not Northumberland.
There is no gap. I have watched them all.

A bit of a shame in the end. There is a lot of good performances and a lot to like about COBRA. Its main problem is it is a Farage wet dream story.

I dumped it after 3 episodes.
SPOILER ALERT:

Planes were dropping out of the sky because their avionics were affected by the flare, but apparently helicopters were perfectly safe.

Mobile phones were knocked out, but landlines worked fine in power cuts.

Satellites were/would be knocked out, but the command centre had live feeds from around the country and cumputer screens full of data.

TV stations could report from affected areas and had satellite vans (but presumably no satellites to aim them at).

Reassuring that when telecommunications are
Knocked out and 90% of the country has no electricity, that TEXT messaging will still work.

Anne who was in the burning smoke filled hotel for ages, didn’t cough once afterwards, and had no problem with smoke inhalation for 3 more episodes.

The Tommy Robinson character (the far right vigilante) went viral on the internet. Except his mobile should not have been working, and nor anyone elses.

They mention the Prime Minister’s poll ratings during the crisis. How can you do a national poll when there is no electricity and phone don’t work and the roads are blocked.

Northumberland looked suspiciously like the Lancs/Yorkshire Pennines.
