Transferring Spreadsheets To W10

I want to transfer MS excel spreadsheets from W7 to Libreoffice (or OpenOffice) W10. Is there an easy way - especially for a tech dummy? Thanks.

The version of Windows is essentially irrelevant but either of the office packages will open Excel files - interestingly enough if the spereadsheet has a password Openoffice will remove it.

I should have said that the W7 and W10 are on different laptops.

Have you tried syncing your accounts on the two machines?

Copy the files usually xls or xlsx to a stick then copy onto the Win 10 machine - if you require search hints to find them please ask

Add it to an e-mail, send it to yourself and open it on your new laptop.

Thanks everyone. I will have a go tomorrow.

Copy the files to a flash drive from the first laptop. Transer the flash drive to the other laptop, and either copy to the hard drive, of use the files directly from the flash drive.

Remember to regularly back up data files.
