To cut a VERY long story short, my partner & I have split. I wish to remain in the house & have offered him a settlement figure (25,000) to have his name removed from the property deeds & mortgage. Lender is happy for this take place as I am capable of taking mortgage (to be upped by this 25k) over on my own. He is not happy about this & wants to sell to get more of the profit even though I have paid allot more per month than him due to thousand of pounds in personal debts he run up behind my back. Have I offered an unfair settlement? It is true there is allot of equity in the house, but mortgage has been upped twice in 4 years to clear his personal debts. My Dad has even loaned him 10k to keep the mortgage down. These debts are the main cuase of our breakup. I'm at a loss at what to do. Should I refuse to sell? What would happen if I did? Could he take me to court? Thanks for any advice.

Can't really Help you other than to say get yourself down a Solicitors or the CAB QUICKLY!!!! Some Solicitors offer Advice for 30 Mins that is Free, so it might be worth your while. It could get complicated, so best to get Legal Advice!!

Good Luck though MISSX, hope it all happens how you want it.
