Just had a schizo neighbor threaten to kill me....
Loads of cops about at the mo.
Actually feel for the bloke, cant imagine what hell he must be living?
Nothing altruistic about this post, just cant imagine living with an illness like that!
I was totally prepared to defend myself (and able) if needs be, but can not understand why people like this constantly slip through the system?
He was obviously having an 'episode'.

The problem is (and I've experienced this when trying to get someone some help), the CPN's/support workers etc won't get involved until the person becomes either a danger to themselves, or others :-((
This young lad should be in supervised accommodation. A friend of mine has a daughter with paranoid schizophrenia and she has been in such places for many years. She cannot go out unsupervised and her meds are administered. She does have activities organised.
I'm glad you are ok, nailit x I hope that he will be as well. I agree that the police probably didn't know quite what they were walking into. If I had rung them, i wouldn't expect them to say "do you think you can restrain him yourself?". And I wouldn't expect them to say that to you either.
Prevention is better than cure, yes... but involves a little foresight, which we prefer to avoid. Apparently.
This is sad Nailit as I know but is there an answer? So much help needed and so little available.
