This is on later at 5.15pm. Have never watched it so wanted to ask is it a children's film or is it suitable for everyone.I only watch children's films with my grandchildren.

It's a PG rating, so in effect suitable for all really, great fun too.

Mamya is it a film you would watch on your own?
I rarely watch films, I am too fidgety with projects on the go.

I might have it on whilst doing something else for some light relief.
Question Author
I'm the same Mamya but have been out last minute shopping and feel like putting my feet up for a while. Will see what it's like and no doubt I will fall asleep!
Who's to stop you if you're on your own ?
Suspect it's a cartoon fairy tale. Would depend on how childlike one can be during leisure time.
Having read the book (to my children, of course) I was a tad disappointed with the film. Much of the book's humour is lost in translation, imvho.
By the way, don't know why but I've been whizzpopping all afternoon. Good job I work on my own:-)
Question Author
Ken what is whizzpopping?
Going to make a cuppa now and see what the film is like. One of the reasons I'm watching it is because Mark Rylance is in it.
It's a sign of happiness, Barsel. At least, according to the BFG it is:-)))
A bit late for you maybe, have you watched it?
Went with daughter and her daughter to see it in cinema. We all loved it.
Loved the first 1989 BBC version with Davis Jason voicing BFG too.
Just a fun film, maybe not really for on your own as you have to share your giggles.
Question Author
Well I did watch it but I did wish I had one or two of my grandchildren with me to share the laughs.
Yes it's a good film for everyone, Barsel.
Now you know what whizzpopping is, Barsel :-)
Question Author
I do now Ken and I still can't imagine the Queen doing it :-) x
She has a man who does it for her, Barsel. The Royal Whizzpopper!

Lol Ken.
