sickness bug with blood in stools

I had a very bad sickness bug where i was loosing blood in my stools, i was sent to the local hospital and am now awaiting further tests for colitis or crones. Until this bug i was fine, so is it possible to have a very bad upset stomach and loose blood in stools and have nothing wrong as i have been fine now for about 2 months?

Yes it is a possible that it may just have been a bad bug. Its impressive that your hospital are being so thorough in their investigations. Dont worry about the investigations, and hopefully they rule out anything serious x
