I have to say that my partner was so excited after the birth of a son he'd longed for for years that he wouldnt have even noticed a pressie.
He was that caught up in the whole daddy thing that he didnt even get me some flowers.

aw, well i was thinking of waiting til we get home, i fear he wont notice ME when our daughter is born lol, she is going to be a daddies girl!
You could "buy" him a star.I was bought one once and it was named after me.I was very excited - I had a box with a map of the constellation showing me where my star named after me was!!
Naughty naughty boobs- posting in more than one category, tsk tsk! - lol.

I've answered in the other category :-)

The best pressie I had was a small photo frame so I could being a piccy of my little one into work.

Question Author
well i didnt want the title to be really long! So :-P again to you!
i think he would love a family portrait its a little prezzi for you both to look at
Congrats, there are some great books at a variety of prices and either funny/educational etc, rather than list them, and sorry not sure how to link but check out menkind.co.uk and see which you think would be best, there's some that will be talked about for life I would imagine, e.g "Ask your Father" by Ryland Peters (50 things your father should have taught you but probably didn't) but others are for early years etc. even if you don't see him reading them, I bet he does.
I saw a thing on the baby channel last night, where a woman was having her bump cast in plaster of paris. It was so cool when it was done, and you could see how big she was (38 weeks, I think). You could have that done, and decorate it, and give it to him to hang on the wall, as a lasting reminder.

I think they sell them on the website. It's www.everlastingcastings.co.uk

Good luck!
Hiya boobs :)
A few people on bounty have mentioned this and the gift that seems to be no.1 just now is the 'New Dad' (Willow Tree) From The Willow tree Figurine Collections the 'New Life' figurine is nice too! - I do like them but not being an ornament person I'm finding it difficult to find something special. As you said yourself, i don't want a mug or T-shirt.

how long do you have left now?
Question Author
hi lore, someone on bounty told me about that and i am going to see what its like in house of fraser and think i may go for that, the belly cast sounds fun, may look into that too lol!

i am 29 weeks on sunday, so 3 weeks further than i have ever got! Had steroids now, and she is now weighing about 3lb (same as her brother was at 26 the fat boy!)
how are you? And baby, how far are you now?
I did, and a lovely card telling him how chuffed I was about the new arrival. What did I get??? Nothing, not a card, not a bunch of flowers. I was gutted, and I felt like the only mum in the unit that had nothing from her partner. Hopefully hes not a big idiot like my bf was but if he is ~ hint a lot to save disppointment.
Question Author
aw bless you hun, my man is very considerate and hints are being dropped as he is a first time dad so he doesnt know the etiquette!
I'm 23 weeks and all's well :) didn't find out what we're having.

Glad you're well sweetie xxx
I bought myself an X-box if that counts.
How about visiting www.saysomethingspecial.co.uk you could do an online annoucnement to announce to the world what a special Daddy he is. Its only 3.00 or 5.00 if you want a glossy keepsake aswell.
