I’m buzzing after a fab night out with friends, we were at our friends daughters engagement party, music and the young people were great, one of those nights where we had an amazing time

Chris life in the spotlight at last lol
A party for one with class A's, lol.
No....don’t seem to have time to go to bed since moving to Ireland for a quiet life.
Just in from seeing Dave perform in his first ever am dram production......lord can the man act!
My very minor role was that of a heckler sitting in the audience.....I did enjoy that but not as much as Dave enjoyed banging his gavel on a podium and telling me to shut up or he’d throw me out...... he really put his heart and soul into that line!
On a high after the show we all retired to one of the pubs for lots of back patting and Guinness. I’m still not sure what time the pubs close here......quite some time after the landlord closes the blinds and locks the door I think...... :-)
Think it is congrats Bobbi:-) Not Many older folk of my generation get asked out or their opinions heard! 60 plus I mean!
Theres no such thing as closing time in Southern Ireland, gness ( everybody know's that .

Anyhoo, Dave am dram c'mon I need to know more ( I see that you were cast for the perfect part ).
The pub we drink in closes when the last person leaves, Gness :-)
I may have been type cast, Tony...but Dave wasn’t.

He played the Chairman of the Temperance Society.... that got a laugh.... :-)
Exactly, Ummmm...... :-)
Hang on ! computer doesn't compute 'Temperance Society'.
Yep, type cast. Phone your agent Monday morning.
Chairman of the Temperance Society , villain of the piece obviously.
Sorry, I had no idea of agegroup, then again this could come around full circle as cocaine was only illegalised in the UK in the 1920s ;-)
Eh !
"Don’t need them to have a great night Mal"
That is true ..I was being a bit ironical ;-)
I love the idea of pubs that close "as and when". I remember a friend of mine went up to the bar at "last orders" and this is what I overheard...
"Are you serving take-aways"?
"Well, not legally speaking but what do you want?"
That was when you could have about four pints decanted into a plastic thingy.
...must've been about 30 years ago.
Reminds me of one day in NI in the sixties. It was a hot sunny day, I was leading a two LandRover patrol through the countryside, We were passing a pub, and stopped for a breather. The landlord was sat outside reading his paper. He Said 'We're not open yet Sergeant, but would you and you men like to join me for a wee dram while we're waiting?'
Morning' Bobbs, when I clicked on that pic., I thought it was Camilla !

Morning all, this reveller is still in bed,Gness , sounds like you had fun as a heckler and Dave in his role, my legs ache a wee bit with all the dancing I did last night but it was with it, buffet wasn’t hot roast sarnies of pork, beef or chicken and you could have chips if you wanted, the pub will of stayed till everyone left but we had to pick Lola up and it was raining quite heavy when we left, so bad hair day it is as guess who forgot her brolly :0/
