Some of my RCA/Phono jacks go into their sockets and stay there (sometimes there's a springy bit to help them stay in the hole).

Other ones just go in and fall out again. Can you buy adaptors which help clamp them in?

Sounds unlikely to me. When something fails it's normally replaced.
Could always try sticky tape. But wouldn't guarantee the electrical connection.

No, they're not faulty, just oddly made.

Some Phono inputs have a built-in spring/grip surrounding the hole, so that when the Phono pin gets pushed in, they grip. Some don't.

If there's a little slit in the head of the pin, you can stick a knife in and expand the pin a bit, but some of mine are just smooth, so hard to improvise anything.
