I have to say what we have witnessed in the world media reporting, the sound-bites and grave insincere faces of the worlds politicians, the hysteria depicted on UK television coverage, and the live reports form frenzied journalists chomping at the bit providing us with live updates from UK airports on exactly what ?
This is the greatest piece of Theatre imaginable!!

Reading the warped perspectives and anti Islamic views already being espoused on Answerbank looks like your average joe has been sucked right in.
Did I even hear a whisper of the travesty and bloodshed of Lebanon in the news yesterday & the day before?

Dont you just love it when you get arrant nonsense like this being posted? Plenty of people here of all political persuasions who have posted on this, and the situation in the Middle East.
I suppose its good though that we have such insightful thinkers as yourself, who know the truth of the situation and can point it out to us poor average joes, with our warped perspectives and anti-islamic views. Where would we be without you?
If, as you claim, the whole alleged bombing plot was a conspiracy dreamed up by those naughty schoolboys Bush and Blair to deflect the worlds attention from what was happening in Lebanon, its a mighty poor one.... I mean, the UK and US Media reported on nothing else for what, all of 24 hours!

Whilst we are all equally entitled to express our viewpoint on this current farcical situation being played out, this morning I have merely attempted to redress the balance of opinion which so far appears to reflect a downright warped perspective and further propagate suspicion and blame at one particular denomination of society, in this country especially.
I�m glad you find my opinion �Insightful� LazyGun, perhaps you may consider contributing some intellectual discourse on the subject before summoning your own deep seated prejudices & expressing your presumptions about what I may or may not view on television.

So far all I�ve seen is poor journalism, hype and scaremongering this past couple of days played out particularly by the BBC.

I'm sorry to pee on your parade joy division but there has been coverage over the last two days on the Lebanon crisis, admittedly not of the same intensity but there again it is not every day of the week Britain goes onto the highest state of alert. To say there has not been a whisper just isn't true.
I would be interested to know what part the Pakistan government is playing in this latest 'cover up' you speak off jd? ....... I'm presuming of course you did see the news coverage on their statement how it was their intelligence, including the names of those arrested that sparked this whole operation.
I agree 100% that the British/USA media is highly irresponsible at best, but do not forget that most of the Muslim world is also at war with the Islamic Extremist.

Top question/comment joy division. When you have a question asking what exactly it is the terrorists want you know 1) why Blair is in power again 2) its not only Big Brother that has the dullards in it.
