Give Me Hope Joanna by Eddie Grant.. He was lead singer with The Equals.

He was lead guitarist with the Equals, not lead singer.

If he was dead, he'd be tuning in his grave after what they've done to a great song ...

As opposed to doing what he actually is doing, which is laughing all the way to the bank.
