Branston Pickle !!!! Tikka Masala paste !!! (Pataks I hope)

Yes, chillis, chopped and whole Kenyan birdseye, also some Scotch Bonnets if you are feeling brave.

Loads of garlic, ginger, black and cayenne pepper. Serve with fresh coriander leaves.

Can I try some ?

yeah, in hindsight tikka masala, branston pickle AND coconut milk was probably not the best idea. and of course it was pataks! trust me though, branston pickle does give a richness to curries, well ones that arent too sweet to begin wtih.
A good squeeze of fresh lemon juice may help.
